Life is Easier/Harder than you think

What I write below pertains to research and system building in general, but it probably applies to life too.

Any problem is 10 times harder than you think

When you formulate a problem, finding a solution to that problem is pretty much always harder than you expect. Most likely you have the problem statement ill-defined, and most likely you will change the problem statement as you go forward. In producing the solution, you are gaining intimate knowledge of the problem space.

Producing something useful is 10 times easier than you think

While you are burning away your time dealing with a problem that is 10 times harder than you thought, and probably taking you 10 times more time, you’re probably already sitting on something that is already useful. While your goal might be to produce the perfect widget, in the process of designing, refining, abandoning, reinventing and grinding down the solution, you will have created some other thing that is innovative and useful to either your target user or some other user.

Hehe. about dead Netbooks and the birth of smartbooks...

so?
you think about buying a Netbook?
they are so 2008. c'mon. you can get something better.

rumors are out, what’s the next in tech.
you know, for all these geeks, that need to have the latest and greatest.

last year, they told you, that you definitely need a Netbook.
soooo much places, where you do not want to take your desktop.
where your laptop is getting too heavy.

and your Smartphone... just does not fit. definitely too small.

Image002

so they lowered the weight and features of a laptop. and your highly needed new gadget was born. Netbooks

But this is 2009. And we make tech for 2010.

So what’s next?

8-10 inch

Mobile platform based (ARM)

Always on (3g/wifi)

And many of them, even without a keyboard. (onscreen)

And….

… they called Smartbook. Another year. Another name.

This should fill the gap between a netbook and a tablet

So go on…. Fellow consumerists… preorder one…

German Vs. english

Hah.

what a topic.
I had so much ideas, what could be my first topic.
and then i thought "should i write it in German or English?".
hard.
i even see it in my Facebook updates and comments.
a chaos of mixing languages.

lets nail down the problem first.
either, i be nice to my non-german speaking friends and audience,
or, post more. yep.

when i think,  i need to translate my weirdness in my mind now also to English, i sometimes struggle.
and a minute later? the blog post idea is gone.
so maybe.
just maybe.
this is even my last post in English.
go. search for a good page translator. bye.
